Personalia
Frank van Oort is per 1 maart benoemd
tot buitengewoon hoogleraar Stedelij-
ke en regionale economie aan de Eras-
mus Universiteit Rotterdam. Tevens is
Van Oort aangesteld als directeur van
het Institute of Housing and Urban Development Studies.
Promoties
Op 1 april promoveert Francisco Estrada Porrua aan de Vrije
Universiteit Amsterdam op zijn proefschrift A contribution to the
study of the economic causes and consequences of climate change:
an interdisciplinary approach. Zijn promotoren zijn Richard Tol,
Elissaios Papyrakis en Pierre Perron. De plechtigheid vindt plaats
in het Auditorium van de universiteit en begint om 11.45 uur.
Op 1 april promoveert Koen van der Veer aan
de Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen op zijn
proefschrift Flows of finance in times of crisis. Zijn
promotoren zijn Eelke de Jong en Andrew Rose
en zijn copromotor is Marco Hoeberichts. De
plechtigheid vindt plaats in de Academiezaal Aula van de
universiteit en begint om 14.30 uur.
Op 2 april promoveert Nicole Hoefsmit aan de
Universiteit Maastricht op haar proefschrift Self-direction in
return-to-work: bottlenecks, facilitators and an intervention. Haar
promotor is Frans Nijhuis en haar copromotoren zijn Inge
Houkes en Nicolle Boumans. De plechtigheid vindt plaats in het
Administratiegebouw van de universiteit en begint om 12.00 uur.
Op 2 april promoveert Nadine Funcke aan de Universiteit
Maastricht op haar proefschrift Credit ratings and the auditor’s
going-concern opinion. Haar promotor is Ann Vanstraelen en haar
copromotor is Robert Knechel. De plechtigheid vindt plaats in het
Administratiegebouw van de universiteit en begint om 14.00 uur.
Op 8 april promoveert Hugo Silva Montalva aan de Vrije
Universiteit Amsterdam op zijn proefschrift Airport pricing policies:
airline conduct, price discrimination, dynamic congestion and network
effects. Zijn promotor is Erik Verhoef. De plechtigheid vindt plaats
in het Auditorium van de universiteit en begint om 13.45 uur.
Op 9 april promoveert Oana Floroiu aan de Universiteit
Maastricht op haar proefschrift Financial decision making in
incomplete markets. Haar promotoren zijn Piet Eichholtz en
Antoon Pelsser. De plechtigheid vindt plaats in het
Administratiegebouw van de universiteit en begint om 16.00 uur.
Activerende sociale zekerheid
Op 30 maart organiseert ESB in samenwerking met het Uitvoeringsinstituut
Werknemersverzekeringen (UWV) het symposium Activerende sociale zekerheid. Op
dit symposium zullen onder anderen Paul de Beer (Universiteit van Amste
rdam),
Bas van der Klaauw (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam) en Pierre Koning (M
inisterie
van Sociale Zaken en Werkgelegenheid) aan het woord komen. Het symposium
vindt plaats in Studio Dudok in Den Haag en begint om 13.30 uur.
